Registered Nurse (RN)
Licensed RN or LPN professionals
A Baby Nurse is a licensed (RN) or a licensed (LPN), with a degree and must have a license to practice nursing. They are available to come to your home to work with families of newborn(s) with medical conditions that could be life threatening for the baby. Many of the nurses are experienced in neonatal care, pediatric care, and are all certified in caring for parents and babies. They are also certified to administer medication, work with physicians, help with treatments, perform examinations, and monitor the baby to ensure that they are developing properly.
Baby nurses are caregivers, teachers, advocates, counselors, and supporters. They identify problem areas for both the mother and the baby and address the issues to prevent or reduce PPD (postpartum depression), and the baby blues.
A Registered Nurse cares for healthy babies also. They are available to help you day or night.
